NOTICE: Effective immediately, tree limbs must be no more than eight (8) feet in
length and a diameter less than three (3) inches. Limbs must be neatly stacked at the
curb and the maximum volume of collection at each home on any one day's collection
cannot exceed eight (8) feet long by five (5) feet wide by five (5) feet high of tied
bundles. The Town will not collect limbs for work done by a tree service company. All
other yard waste must be placed in bags and located at the curb for pick-up.
Any material not meeting these specifications will NOT be collected. Tree limbs are
collected the last full week of each month.

The residents of Mars Hill are proud, independent, and hard working and wish to see their community remain a good place to raise a family, work and enjoy life. Residents wish to maintain the rural character and scenic beauty of the community, while at the same time, managing growth responsibly in order to sustain and enhance economic opportunites.
